Tony Stevens: Electric/Acoustic Guitars, Vocals
Tony picked up the guitar at the age of 12 and for the most part never put it down. After spending the first few years investigating the singer/songwriter tradition, he discovered 70’s hard rock and never looked back. Influences include not only Billy Gibbons, Joe Perry, Roy Buchanan, David Grissom etc, but also Dan Fogelberg, Kenny Loggins, and the Eagles. A true hybrid guitarist, Tony’s playing encompasses the usual rock and blues influences, as well as country/blues and traditional country. A Colorado native, he spent 8 years in Los Angeles paying dues on the original circuit which included playing with Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Duff McKagan (GnR), Robbin Crosby (Ratt), Andy Parker (UFO), plus a host of others before returning home to hone his songwriting skills and form the band Peace Pipe. Traditionally a Fender guitar man, he can be seen these days spanking a goldtop Paul Reed Smith through his favorite marshall amps while trying to bring rock songs with “hooks” back into the mainstream. Doug Krause: Piano/Keys, Pedal Steel, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
Doug Krause has been a professional musician and composer for over twenty-five years. His characteristic writing and performing style comes from years spent moving between the pop/rock, blues, and country genres as well as classical music. A small town boy from the plains of Kansas, he had a natural affinity for the music of the heartland but quickly discovered that the blues and southern rock suited his piano and singing style perfectly. His influences include Little Feat, Bruce Hornsby, The Band, Dr. John, and of course, the Eagles. Besides being a professional performer, Doug has also been a producer, studio musician, composer, songwriter, and teacher. He considers himself a journeyman musician being proficient in all styles of popular music, and he has a masters degree in music composition and orchestration. Doug makes his home in Denver where he performs and teaches at the University of Colorado Denver in the Music and Entertainment Industry Studies program. He also owns and operates a publishing company Denver Basin Music (www.denverbasinmusic.com) and a production company Full Measure Productions (www.fullmeasureproductions.net).
